Job Description

System Support Engineer – Dallas $100-105K Do you enjoy working with smartphones, tablets, and notebooks and supporting external and internal customers with world-class system support.
In this role, you will work with cutting-edge robotics technologies to assist onsite customer operations using proprietary Apkudo maintenance and testing support systems.
You will help lead the triage process and work with support from local and remote teams to implement solutions.
You will develop a full understanding of these unique systems and help our customer advance their process, productivity, and profitability.

Apply today What you will do Working with innovative robotics systems troubleshooting system-level hardware and software issues.
Resolve hardware and software issues through tuning, repair, or replacement activities.
Apply system-level configuration changes in support of new production line introduction.
Work onsite and support customer directly to implement and enhance automated Apkudo device testing and triage cellphone and connected device systems Respond and resolve issues to minimize downtime, ensuring operations runs smoothly Provide detailed descriptions of the state of the system and provide insight as to the cause of the issue Capture supporting data, including system logs, images, and any reproduction steps necessary to investigate issues as needed by other Apkudo teams Perform regular testing based on a strict set of instructions throughout the lifecycle of systems Work with vendors and cross-functionally with customer and team to streamline existing support material including but not limited to training guides, FAQs, and troubleshooting Support onboarding of new and existing operators as new features and functionality are added Other duties as required What you will need BA/BS in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, OR directly relevant Robotic System Support job experience 3 to 5 years of progressive customer-facing hardware and software system support experience Knowledge of Command Line Interface (CLI) such as Linux, Unix, and/or Bash/Shell Experience with supporting hardware and software test platforms Android or iOS Mobile device testing experience desired Experience supporting Android and iOS phones, and Linux and/or Mac tablets/notebooks/laptops Experience with programming languages such as Python a plus Customer management experience or working at customer sites is desired.
Proficiency with Google Docs, Sheets, and Slides The desire to learn new technologies and work methods The ability to work in a cross-functional group environment as well as alone Intrinsic motivation, positive energy, and a proactive and results-oriented outlook The ability to meet deadlines while overseeing multiple short-term activities and be detailed and organized Excellent technical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills Excellent written and verbal skills with a demonstrated ability to communicate system function and operation effectively About us Apkudo is the developer of Hive, the platform for the management of the connected device supply chain.

Travel to Dallas may be necessary on a very infrequent basis.
Travel may also be advantageous to opening up new opportunities and career progression as we expand our other locations, however, this is not currently anticipated as part of this role.
The physical requirements include prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer (though we provide a tech benefit that you can use to buy a standing desk).
