POSITION: System Administrator II MINIMUM SECURITY CLEARANCE: Secret LOCATION: Washington, D.C. JOB ID: 21-016 CLOSING DATE: Until Filled SUMMARY DESCRIPTION: The System Administrator II will be a member of a small IT team supporting an Active Directory-integrated operating environment. The System Administrator II performs server and workstation administration, configures and maintains network infrastructure, provides applications support, patch management, desk-side customer service, adherence to cyber security guidance, data backup, and restore, documentation of technical data, and other related duties as required. MINIMUM SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS:
• Extensive knowledge of Windows Operating Systems (Windows 10, Windows 2012r2, 2016 and 2019 )
• Active Directory
• DNS and Windows network infrastructure
• Exchange 2016
• Microsoft Office 2016 and other user applications
• Proficiency with server, client, and peripheral hardware
• Help Desk and desk-side customer support
• Understanding of security principals, such as PKI Encryption, anti-malware and endpoint protection
• Experience in LAN/WAN and Routing protocols. Knowledge of networks (LAN/WAN/DNS/VPN/ Sniffer) with extensive problem-solving skills
• Technical support documentation skills
• Desktop and mobile data encryption
• Operating system patch management
• Experience with the configuration and maintenance of network devices (i.e. switches, routers, firewalls, intrusion detection systems, etc.)
• Virtual environment (VMware or Hyper-V)
• Server clustering
• A Department of Defense (DoD) Secret security clearance* EDUCATIONS/CERTIFICATIONS:
• Security+ CE certification required.
• Microsoft Certified IT Professional certifications desired.
