Job Description

FOX Ad Sales is looking for a Manager, SEO to join their team. As the Manager, SEO, you will operationalize special projects across the company. You will actively manage the search elements for the content publication for personal finance marketplace Credible while also working on separate partnerships that grow revenue. This role is commercially focused, and as the Manager, SEO, you will drive traffic and to Fox partners. You will lead various strategic partnerships and help launch new product verticals.
Additional responsibilities include analyzing and strategizing around data, market research, and presenting key takeaways/findings to internal stakeholders. You should be an excellent communicator with strong prioritization skills, and can manage multiple projects while interfacing cross-functionality around other initiatives as needed. This role will involve interacting and managing relationships /projects across multiple departments including, but not limited to, ad sales editorial, product, business intelligence, finance, and legal.
A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
• Manage and oversee SEO tools, such as Google Trends, Google Search Console, CognitiveSEO, SimilarWeb, & more for keyword research, competitive analysis, and optimization
• Directly edit and optimize personal finance content (roughly 20+ articles weekly), including modifying heading (H1, H2) tags, keywords, and structure of articles to best optimize for Search
• Strategize on how to best utilize SEO tactics to drive traffic to various key Fox initiatives and partnerships and present recommendations to Executives
• Monitor business news cycle for search trends
• Lead SEO coverage in launching new personal finance verticals (including planning and executing) and other future verticals
• Manage analytics tools (such as Adobe Analytics & Chartbeat) to track referrals to major Fox partnership priorities and identify potential gaps
• Identify when to re-optimize and republish archived/evergreen content to maximize Search referrals and improve SERP ranking
• Create evergreen content plans and editorial calendars to identify SEO opportunities around pre-planned events (ex: tax season, rate changes, etc.)
• Identify and help resolve technical SEO issues (errors via Search Console) in real-time
• Monitor and research trends and opportunities in the digital landscape, and based on these trends, create strategies and recommendations to grow new partnerships and strengthen existing ones
WHAT YOU WILL NEED
• Strong editorial background, including knowledge of AP style
• A minimum of 4 or more years of SEO experience
• Deep understanding of keyword optimization and how search trends play a role in driving referrals via search
• Technical familiarity of Google algorithm changes, SERP, etc., and SEO/analytics tools (ex: Adobe Analytics, Chartbeat, Search Console, SimilarWeb, etc.)
• Fundamental understanding of technical SEO optimizations and how to deploy optimized content
• Excellent communication skills and ability to make recommendations around improving SEO
• Highly analytical, ability to interpret data, recognizing inflection points and key insights
• Knowledge in digital media and personal finance products
