Affinitiv is looking for a Graphic Design Intern with an understanding of basic design principles and a strong desire to learn. The Graphic Design Intern is responsible for providing support for the design team through a variety of channels including print and digital. The Graphic Design Intern will report to the Art Director.
The internship program offers hands-on experience in the art department of a full service (traditional and digital) advertising agency. This internship is for outgoing, hardworking individuals who want to pursue a career in advertising. After completion, the intern will have an understanding of basic design principles, print layouts, web design and pre-press procedures as well as an understanding of advertising and how to make an impact in the world of marketing through design and illustration. The Graphic Design Intern will also present at the end of the program to their team on project work, results, and key take-aways of their internship experience. This is a 9-week, full time internship summer 2022.
Essential Functions of a Graphic Designer Intern:
• Make editorial changes to marketing campaigns.
• Immerse yourself in communication and manage all of it (teams, emails, work, etc).
• Constant inter-departmental communication through the agency.

Qualifications:
• Matriculated student, GPA 3.0 or higher preferred
• Currently enrolled in a Graphic Design or related degree or certification
• Rising Junior or Senior (expected graudation Dec 2022 or June 2023)
• No work experience necessary
• Light experience working with the following software:
• Proficient in latest version of Adobe Creative Suite: InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop.
• Microsoft Suite of Products
• Think creatively and develop new design concepts, graphics and layouts
• Fast learner who can take feedback to adapt design style and graphics
• Adaptable able to work in a very fast paced environment, meeting tight deadlines and client required timelines
• Legally authorized to work in the United States
