INSIDE SALES MANAGER
Job Summary
The Inside Sales Manager (ISM) is responsible for proactively managing and increasing sales from our existing customer base in addition to working with other sales resources to add new customers.
Role and Responsibilities:
• Determine customer requirements and expectations to recommend specific products and solutions to meet their needs
• Regularly manage follow up process on quotes and orders in efforts to secure a closed sale
• Submit routine activity reports on customer calls, inclusive of contact information and results of calls
• Identify trends in customer satisfaction and dissatisfaction
• Contact customers following sales to ensure ongoing customer satisfaction and resolve any complaints
• Develop a standard process for getting customer feedback
• Develop and manage training of ISC’s to develop phone and sales skills
• Work with Director of Sales to develop technical training for staff to learn company product and service terminology
• Create, maintain, and distribute inside sales activity and result reports to management
• Develop and coordinate the facilitation of new processes, tools, communications, training and methodologies to ensure department and company success
• Work with IT to implement call tracking technology to count and monitor outgoing calls for immediate performance feedback for ISC’s
• Create and maintain accuracy of CRM database while defining company’s work opportunities
• Coordinate inside sales activities with Inside Sales Administrator and Estimation department to ensure proper chain of follow-up with customer proposals
• Direct ISC’s to set up and coordinate customer visits for outside sales staff
• Become knowledgeable of all company products and services that are offered
• Proactively obtain and review macro market intelligence in order to keep abreast of changes in the market or trends that are developing
• Maintain accurate and timely customer pipeline and forecast data
• Perform other duties as assigned
Minimum Requirements:
• 3 years of proven successful supervisory experience in an actively managed outbound ‘call center’ environment
• Exceptional customer service skills and highly detailed oriented
• Experience developing and executing successful sales strategies that align with business initiatives and sales target goals
• Power generation sales experience highly desirable
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Demonstrated proficiency with ERP, CRM and sales center systems
• Ability to understand the lead generation process and interpret lead qualification metrics
Education:
• Bachelors degree in relevant field
