About the Role:
As the Regional Manager, Sales you will be responsible for support in coordinating and managing digital implementation, usage, retention and expansion of Wiley’s digital solutions as well as the long term success of Wiley through the selection, recruitment, development and retention of the top talent in the industry. You will be responsible for setting the tone of open and honest communication at Wiley, demonstrating leadership in creative, strategic and profitable financial decisions for the region and work closely with the Regional Manager of Sales to create strategic plans to retain our customers and expand our digital usage.
In this role you will also develop and deploy retention plans and strategies that will help Customer Success Managers achieve territory metrics, as well as accelerate digital growth at the department and account level. You will also conduct research, reporting basic market intelligence as well as gather detailed feedback from the Customer Success Managers.
How you will make an impact:
• Help drive increased usage of Wiley’s digital solutions throughout their region by measuring and driving KPIs related to customer validation and onboarding.
• Drive a performance culture and strategic mindset to maximize renewal and account expansion revenue across the region.
• Work with Regional Manager of Sales to develop strategic plans to ensure digital acceleration and growth.
• Create strategies to ensure Customer Success Managers proactively check in with customers to ensure implementation success with using Wiley’s digital products and promote new features / functionality specific to course challenges to have customers have a deeper investment in the digital product used.
• Responsible for recruiting and developing top talent at Wiley, by ensuring an efficient and effective selection and development process for CSMs.
• Devise a clear strategy to achieve fiscal and digital validation targets by establishing clear and guided expectations and strategies.
What we look for:
• Undergraduate degree, or equivalent work experience.
• 2-3 years of successful experience in selling in Higher Education and Inside Sales environment with proven goal attainment.
• 2-3 years of experience in analyzing quantitative data to forecast trends and sales.
• Has in-depth knowledge of the publishing process and industry.
• Understands the Higher Education digital content sales process and proven selling techniques.
• Thorough product knowledge and comprehensive understanding of selling digital platforms, course management systems and digital content.
• Ability to travel approximately 50% of the time
