Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Node.js developer to join our talented team of engineers. You’ll help us build groundbreaking tools and products for agents, brokerages and MLSs within Zillow Group’s downtown Vancouver, BC office.

  • Believes in revolutionary technology: we build the best products by using the best tech.
  • Fosters innovation & growth: semi-annual Hackathons and engineering conferences are a big deal.
  • Recognize that there’s no “I” in Team: we are in this together, and we learn and win as one!

Does this sound like the kind of culture you are searching for? If so, we would love to hear from you!

You are a passionate engineer who values performance, test and documentation. You’re a great teammate and looking to make a huge impact. You should have:

  • 5+ years building software systems in a production environment
  • Expertise in designing, coding, debugging, and delivering web applications and backend services
  • Advanced knowledge of Node.js (and Javascript in general)
  • Experience with both SQL and NoSQL databases (familiarity with PostgreSQL/MySQL and Elasticsearch is a plus)
  • Some experience with modern front-end frameworks
  • Familiarity with ExpressJS, SuperAgent, and test frameworks such as Mocha or Ava

Transferable Skills

Here at Zillow – we value the experience and perspective of candidates with non-traditional backgrounds. We encourage you to apply if you have transferable skills or related experiences.
