Job Summary
DESCRIPTION
Amazon Care is looking for a Sr. Technical Program Manager (Sr. TPM) to join our team. We are a passionate and distributed team working to build a best-in-class healthcare product designed to make high-quality healthcare easy to access.
Key job responsibilities
You will work with our tech organization to translate functional and non-functional requirements into deliverables and drive programs to completion. You will lead cross-functional initiatives to disrupt and democratize healthcare. You obsess over customers, both internal and external. You are relentlessly pragmatic as you balance the competing needs of various programs to focus engineering efforts on the highest impact projects. You will research and develop solution architecture designs which pave a path from vision to delivery, including risk identification. You dive deep (e.g. APIs, data models, workflows) to validate your strategy and complexity assumptions. You are thoughtful and will challenge accepted norms with curiosity and experimentation. You will engage the right peers, leaders, partners and industry guidance to remove ambiguity, to support business objectives and deliver results. You seek out data to drive decisions and communicate opportunities to increase collaboration or mechanisms which reduce manual work. You will implement success metrics, reports, and processes to measure program effectiveness. You will communicate (written/verbal) to align colleagues, partners and raise the bar for leadership transparency. You will share your expertise with the team as a mentor to those you work with, and be open to learning from others.
A day in the life
Our team puts a high value on work-life balance. It isn’t about how many hours you spend at home or at work; it’s about the flow you establish that brings energy to both parts of your life. We believe striking the right balance between your personal and professional life is critical to life-long happiness and fulfillment. We offer flexibility in working hours and encourage you to find your own balance between your work and personal lives.
About The Team
Our team is dedicated to supporting new members. We have a broad mix of experience levels and tenures, and we’re building an environment that celebrates knowledge sharing and mentorship. Our senior members enjoy one-on-one mentoring and thorough, but kind, code reviews. We care about your career growth and strive to assign projects based on what will help each team member develop into a better-rounded engineer and enable them to take on more complex tasks in the future.
