Job Description
Responsibilities
• Work closely with PDF internal engineering team towards delivery of electron beam columns for next generations of eProbe systems
• Work hands-on columns for data collection, optics characterization, optimization of ebeam source (gun), optimization of column conditions and beam alignment, unit testing of individual column components, work with software engineering to drive software automation of column.
• Debug performance, noise, and charging issues on these columns.
Work with manufacturing team to drive the build of the columns for NPI including development of new manufacturing methods.
Qualifications
• Masters/PhD in Electrical Engg., physics, material science, or similar engineering field
• Solid understanding of ebeam columns, guns, detectors, and associated analog electronics.
• Hands on experience in bringing up new ebeam columns
• Hands on experience with bringing up ebeam sources for stable operation
• Hands on experience with analog electronics and noise troubleshooting on ebeam systems
• Experience with manufacturing methods for ebeam columns
• Good analytical and engineering skills
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Other desirable Skills and Experience
• Experience or familiarity with 300mm semiconductor IC manufacturing
• Experience or familiarity with semiconductor capital equipment, especially ebeam and ultra-high vacuum equipment.
• Experience specific to ebeam for ‘inspection’ columns and, even more so, in ‘voltage contrast inspection’
• Experience with ebeam optics simulations
• Willingness to travel to (up to 20%) to other client sites in Asia (Korea and China) to troubleshoot/support column issues at field sites
Pay Range
USD $150,000.00 - USD $200,000.00 /Yr
